A prototype of Left 4 Dead based on Counter-Strike appeared on the web

Blogger Tyler McVicker announced the appearance of an early prototype of Left 4 Dead on the web. It was finalized and published on the GameBanana website by a user under the nickname wolfcl0ck.

The assembly can be installed as a modification for Counter-Strike: Source.

The prototype is called Terror-Strike and includes a Zombie City map on which four players need to repel waves of enemies attacking in melee.

The assembly was created in the early 2000s, and there are practically no textures on the only available map.

The role of zombies is performed by special forces, weapons and the interface are borrowed from Counter-Strike — in Terror-Strike, you can even spend money to buy equipment.

The prototype that appeared on the network contains many other files for Counter-Strike: Source, for example, unfinished levels and inaccessible modes.
