A walk around Amsterdam in Call of Duty Modern Warfare II surprised with its realism

In the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II story campaign, there is a mission in Amsterdam.

The players who have already played praised the developers for how realistic the capital of the Netherlands is shown in the shooter.

For greater clarity, the blogger DanAllen Gaming recorded a comparison, walking around the real area of the Dutch city and comparing the footage with the game version of Amsterdam.

As you can see, the authors of Modern Warfare II managed to accurately convey not only the general structure of the city, but also to recreate most of the buildings in detail.

For the Call of Duty series, this is not the first time that real locations are used in games, but at the moment it is one of the best examples.

Even such small details as flowers in shop windows and signs warning about the prohibition of drinking alcohol on the streets were recreated.

At the same time, almost all the names and signs were changed, probably for copyright reasons. The full release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will take place on October 28.
