On Thursday, Epic Games and Remedy unexpectedly released Alan Wake Remastered on the Nintendo Switch.

The developers did not stint on a full-fledged port, so they were interested in how the game works on a portable console. The ElAnalistaDeBits channel has released a comparison.

The video shows the difference compared to the Xbox One, but mainly focuses on the Switch version. The game runs at a resolution of 1056 x 594 in the dock and 704 x 396 in the portable.

The frame rate is limited to 30 FPS. The port has numerous graphic cuts.

This is especially true for textures, shadows, drawing range, vegetation and post-processing effects.

Despite a lot of simplifications and low resolution (the smallest among all consoles), there are problems with performance. Often the frame rate drops to 20 frames per second.

It is not recommended to take the Switch version yet.
