Pre-orders for the role-playing game FINAL FANTASY XVI will begin to be accepted on December 7 or 8. Insider Tom Henderson told about this on his website Insider Gaming.
Henderson's sources could not name a specific time for the launch of pre-orders, but most likely it will happen during the award ceremony of The Game Awards 2022, which will take place on December 8, unless Square Enix and Sony plan to hold a presentation of the project the day before.
It is expected that the game will be presented at the show along with a new trailer and its exact release date will be revealed. Previously, Square Enix promised to do this by the end of 2022.
While the release is scheduled for the summer of 2023.
In early November, it became known that FINAL FANTASY XVI will be a PlayStation 5 exclusive for six months from the moment of release, after which the project will be able to appear on other platforms.
