Electronic Arts has launched an open beta version of Battlefield Mobile in five countries of Southeast Asia.

Users of Android devices in the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore received access to testing.

According to the official FAQ, Battlefield Mobile will be free and will offer a combat pass system, collectible cosmetics and unique unlockable items.

It is claimed that all items available for purchase will be purely cosmetic in nature without affecting gameplay or player performance.

The project is being created by the in-house studio Industrial Toys, headed by Bungie co-founder and former CEO Alex Seropyan.

The beta version includes traditional modes for the series, such as Conquest and Rush, as well as maps from previously released big games, including Noshahr Canals and Grand Bazaar from Battlefield 3.

During the quarterly report in May, EA CEO Andrew Wilson said that the global launch of Battlefield Mobile could take place at the end of this year or early next year, depending on how testing progresses.

Gameplay:Comparison of the alpha version of 2021 with the current beta. In both cases, the gameplay was recorded from a Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra smartphone.

The alpha build was limited only to the average graphics settings, whereas in beta all the parameters were twisted to the maximum.
