Popular American voice actress Jennifer Hale has officially commented on the recent scandal surrounding Bayonetta 3.

Bayonetta's new voice expressed concern over the incident and called on all parties involved to peacefully resolve the conflict.

At the same time, she refused to go into details of her work with Nintendo and Platinum Games, as they are protected by a non-disclosure agreement.

Hale asked not to forget that games are created not by one person, but by a large team, and teamwork should be treated fairly and without prejudice.

"As a veteran of the dubbing and voice-over industry, I always advocate for the right of actors to fair pay - this is what I actively fight for from year to year.

Anyone familiar with me or my work portfolio knows perfectly well how respectful I am to my colleagues and how hard I try to support them.

Now I am under a non-disclosure agreement, so I do not have the opportunity to freely comment on the events taking place. Let my professional reputation speak for me.

Therefore, I sincerely ask everyone not to forget that Bayonetta 3 is a game created by a whole team of professional and purposeful specialists, treat the results of their work fairly and without any prejudice.

I also want to express the hope that all parties involved in this situation will be able to come to a peace agreement based on mutual respect," Jennifer Hale said in a statement.

Recall that Jennifer Hale (Shepard in Mass Effect, Rivet in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Naomi Hunter in Metal Gear Solid) gave her voice to Bayonetta in Bayonetta 3 after the previous actress assigned to the character, Hellena Taylor, refused the role.

Over the weekend, Taylor recorded a video in which she stated that her parting with the franchise was dictated by a "humiliating salary offer" — she was allegedly promised only $4,000 for work on Bayonetta 3, which she considered a personal insult.

At the same time, the artist called on fans to boycott Bayonetta 3, and transfer the money set aside for the game to charities.

She also violated the non-disclosure agreement and told about the details of negotiations with the father of the series Hideki Kamiya, named the revenue generated by the games of the series and told about the plans of the studio PlatinumGames to create an offshoot from the main series Bayonetta after Bayonetta 3.

Taylor also made an attack on Jennifer Hale and said that she had no right to associate herself with Bayonetta and sign merchandise to fans on her behalf, since she was not at the origin of the series.

After that, Hale began receiving messages with insults on social networks from Taylor's fans. The actress, in particular, was accused of "stealing the role."

A few days after the incident, Taylor herself faced a share of criticism.

Part of the users of the popular English-language forum ResetEra, who initially supported her and decided not to buy Bayonetta 3, drew attention to the analysis of the actress' social networks and came to the conclusion that she could relate to the so-called TERF movement.

After that, there was a skirmish in the topic about the scandal and the moderators had to close it on page 93. The PlatinumGames studio has not officially commented on the situation to date.

Hideki Kamiya, the father of the Bayonetta series, reacted to Taylor's words with the words "saddened by the spread of false information."

The worldwide premiere of Bayonetta 3 will take place on October 28 only on consoles of the Nintendo Switch family.
