Embracer Group announced in its financial report that sales of Dead Island 2 have already exceeded 2 million copies.

The zombie action sequel launched on April 21 and sold 1 million copies in the first three days after its release.

According to Embracer Group, Dead Island 2 showed the largest launch in the history of Deep Silver publishing house and parent company Plaion both in terms of the number of copies and revenue.

As part of the report, Embracer also revealed updated sales of the Metro: Exodus shooter, which reached 8.5 million copies with 10 million players, and confirmed that Payday 3, Remnant II and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 are still scheduled for release by the end of March 2024.

At the same time, the fourth AAA game, originally scheduled for release in the current fiscal year, seems to have been postponed to the next fiscal year.
