DICE promises to release a fifth season of content for Battlefield 2042

Publisher EA and DICE studio announced that the Battlefield 2042 shooter will receive a fifth season of content.

Earlier, insiders pointed out that the developers did not intend to release more than four seasons, which were relied on by the buyers of the ultimatum edition At the same time, the fifth season will still be "cut off".

DICE representatives promise to add a new card, but not an operative. In addition, it is planned to release a rework of two release cards - Discarded and Hourglass during 4-5 seasons.

Now the third season is underway in BF 2042, which could not attract a lot of attention due to the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0.

In addition, players criticized the new map for its lazy design (it turned out to be another "clean field"). The fourth season of content is due to be released in early 2023.

DICE hints that the players will be waiting for a map in the spirit of Metro, which is sharpened for close-range battles. The developers have already presented its concept (second art).
