The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has announced the start of qualifying for the Olympic Esports Series 2023 (Olympic Esports Series 2023).
OES 2023 is a "global and virtual simulated sports competition" created by the IOC and conducted in cooperation with official sports federations.
This year, the Olympic Esports Series will feature nine sports disciplines, including games such as Gran Turismo 7 and Just Dance 2023.
The finals of OES 2023 will be held in full-time competitions at Singapore's Suntec Centre from June 22 to 25. They will be broadcast live on the Olympics website.

According to the IOC statement, the 2023 Olympic Esports Series is the next step in "supporting the development of virtual sports within the Olympic movement."
The first OES was held in 2021 before the Olympic Games in Tokyo and included five disciplines, including baseball (eBaseball Powerful Pro Baseball 2020) and motorsport (Gran Turismo Sport).
