Representatives of the GSC Game World studio denied information about the freezing of the development of S. T. A. L. K. E. R. 2 against the background of recent leaks.
They urged not to believe the rumors and assured that nothing has changed. "Please don't believe the rumors.
Development continues as before — nothing has changed," McCulkin's community manager said in the Discord channel of the game.
The developers also once again asked fans of the series not to get acquainted with leaks and not to spread information about them on the network.
"Outdated and working materials can blur the impression of the final idea that we put into the game. Please wait for the official release," the message says.
Earlier, blogger Daniel Nexus, who is called the main drainer of materials for the second "Stalker", said that, according to his data, the development of the game is only 25% complete so far.
He believes that S. T. A. L. K. E. R. 2 may be released no earlier than the second half of 2024, and this is the most optimistic scenario.
Officially, the premiere of S. T. A. L. K. E. R. 2 is scheduled for 2023 in versions for Xbox Series X|S and PC. The game will immediately get into the Xbox Game Pass subscription.
