South Korean studio EVR has published a trailer for an AAA action game codenamed Project TH.
According to the game director and co-founder of the studio Dong Jung-min, Project TH will offer an AAA-level gaming experience with realtime cinematography and rich third-person action, including penetrations, as well as short- and long-range battles using a variety of weapons.
The game will have three main playable characters, each of which will be able to act in their own distinctive style.
The events of Project TH will unfold in the near future on the Korean peninsula, which is on the verge of unification.
The main character, a North Korean soldier Chi Chong Tae, becomes a participant in the military exchange program in accordance with the Law on the Reunification of the South and the North and joins the South Korean army, but an anti-government armed terrorist named Bulmuban actively opposes unification, inciting a protest wave among Korean citizens against their leaders by manipulating events.
The clouds of war are gathering over Korea.
Chi Jong Tae begins fighting against terrorists on the orders of the Defense Security Support Command (DSSC), but due to the failure of the mission, he is demoted to the manager of the Korean female pop group Ordo.
The second game character will be a former veteran of the South Korean army with the call sign "Ghost", who embarked on the path of terrorism.
After the explosion of the Korean parliament building, he becomes the country's most wanted criminal and confronts the DSSC.
Another playable character will be a member of the Ordo pop group named Gavi, whose main goal is to spread DSSC political propaganda among the Korean people.
The authors of Project TH strive to offer gameplay with a high level of tension. Players will have to not only shoot, but also rely on stealth, as well as use the environment for their own purposes.
The narrative in Project TH is structured to show the same events and situations from three different points of view, which will eventually unite into a common story.
The main actions of the game will unfold in Seoul, recreated on a 1:1 scale using CitiGen's own software solution, which allows generating assets of the city and buildings based on 3D scanning with a procedural construction process.
When creating characters, developers also use their own three-dimensional scanning technology Light Sphere.
Two of the three main characters in the project are played by actors Lee Hong Ne and Ho Song Tae. The latter may be known by the "Squid Game".
Director Kang Yoon Song ("Crime City") is involved in the production of cinematic scenes. Project TH is being created on Unreal Engine 5 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and PC.
The project will be available on Steam, Game Pass, Epic Games Store and via cloud services xCloud and GeForce Now.
