Marvel's Avengers did not meet expectations, but the developer studio Crystal Dynamics continues to engage in the game despite everything, periodically adding new heroes, skins and other innovations to it.

However, developers will not develop the project forever. According to insider Miller Ross, support for The Avengers will come to an end in 2023, and there will definitely be no new content for 2024.

If you believe the dataminers who studied the latest update, fans can still get the final portion of content in the remaining time.

This is indicated by the audio tracks found in the update Captain Marvel, the Hulk Woman, Iron Heart and Shuri from Black Panther.

There are no guarantees that all of them will be added to the game, however Ross notes that the first two heroines have indeed been in development for some time.

As for the reasons for the weak quality of the project's live service support, Ross calls the outdated and inefficient Foundation Engine from Crystal Dynamics the culprit.

Most of the work on updates after the launch had to be shifted to the now closed Square Enix Montreal, and even then the game required crunches and "staying up late".

As a result, many employees left Crystal Dynamics or moved to other divisions of the team, for example, to those who are now creating the next part of Tomb Raider and helping The Initiative with the revival of Perfect Dark.

Marvel's Avengers was released in August 2020.
