Network users have recently noticed the appearance of several games in the Xbox Cloud Gaming library that are not available through the Game Pass subscription, including ELDEN RING, Grand Theft Auto V and Soul Hackers 2.
In addition, in the mobile version of the Xbox Cloud Gaming site, some noticed advertising with an offer to play ELDEN RING through a cloud service with a Game Pass Ultimate subscription.
Given that plans were confirmed in June to add an option for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate users to play games from the cloud that they already own or purchased outside the Game Pass subscription, it was suggested that Microsoft had already started testing the new feature in advance of launch, but the company's comment clarified the situation.
In a statement to Eurogamer, Microsoft called the appearance of some games not from Game Pass in Xbox Cloud Gaming a "mistake" and said that the company has already fixed this.
"We are aware of a bug that caused some games to erroneously appear as available [in Xbox Cloud Gaming] with the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. We've fixed it and released an update. "
Xbox Cloud Gaming is scheduled to officially roll out non-Game Pass Ultimate games at the end of the year.
