A new trailer for Paranormal Tales has been released on the IGN channel with a preliminary look at the pre-alpha horror.
The video shows an episode in the house where the player has to survive the appearance of a paranormal entity.
In this episode, the player must listen to where the sounds come from, make no noise, try not to bump into things, do not turn off the lights and avoid unusual phenomena, and since the gameplay is shown from the point of view of recording from a smartphone, inexplicable and frightening things may begin to happen on the screen, the sources of which may be both device glitches and a manifestation of paranoia or a game of imagination.
Paranormal Tales is a psychological horror that tells a series of unrelated stories based on found footage of missing people.
Players will have to observe the world through the camera lens and experience creepy events with a high level of immersion due to a first-person solution, sound effects and realistic environment on the Unreal Engine 5 engine.
Sources of inspiration for the project are Silent Hill, Resident Evil, P. T., Alien: Isolation, as well as horror films such as The Blair Witch and It Follows.
The development of Paranormal Tales is at an early stage.
The authors note that they still have a lot of work to do, but they are happy with the current direction of development and are confident that this will be one of the most exciting, realistic and scary games in the genre of found film.
