Monster Hunter Rise will be released on Xbox and PlayStation next month, but the game itself is far from new, since it appeared on Switch back in 2021 and is already also available on PC.
As for a completely new part of the series, it seems that its announcement may take place at the end of 2023.
In an interview with Famitsu, the producer of the Monster Hunter series, Redzo Tsujimoto, said that they are now focused on free updates for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, coming out in winter and spring, and when asked what he personally expects next year, Tsujimoto noted the Tokyo Game Show, which is scheduled for September.
Although the announcement of the new game was not mentioned in the conversation, the expectation by the producer of Monster Hunter of the upcoming TGS may well indicate that Capcom is preparing something special for the Japanese event, which may turn out to be the show of the next part of the series, especially since Sunbreak support will have already stopped by then.
