Overwatch 2 developers will no longer conduct beta testing — two phases are enough

Blizzard Entertainment has announced that it will not organize a third Overwatch 2 beta for players.

Commercial director and vice president of the franchise John Spector noted that the team on its own daily checks each assembly and no longer plans to do it publicly.

Thanks to the valuable feedback that the developers received after the "alpha" and the two "betas", Blizzard Entertainment was able to focus on bringing the conditionally free team shooter to mind.

Overwatch 2 is set to release on October 4, giving fans “the best possible game.” At the moment, the development is in full swing.

The team prepares the transition to the "5 by 5" format, changes the distribution model, and also rebalances the characters to introduce new characters.

Overwatch 2 will be released on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC on Battle.net.
