The storyline expansion In Tanta We Trust for Forspoken will go on sale on May 26, Square Enix announced. It will become a prequel — the events will unfold 25 years before the main plot.
Frey will be in the spotlight again — she will hear a strange call that will take her through time and make her witness the legendary battle that devastated Atia and drove the Tants to madness.
The heroine will receive new magical abilities and will be able to team up with Tanta Cinta in a dangerous mission to save Atia and herself.
The expansion will take players to new locations with a vertical design, where Frey's parkour abilities, enhanced by magic, will have to be revealed in a special way.
The developers also promise spectacular fights with monsters. Forspoken debuted in January 2023 and showed weak sales at the start.
Square Enix hopes for the long-term success of the game, but admits that the disappointing launch will hit the financial performance of the publisher for the current year.
According to rumors, the development of Forspoken cost the company $ 100 million.
