Resident Evil Village will receive a story add-on Shadows of Rose, a playable Lady Dimitresca and a third-person view

As part of the online presentation of Capcom Showcase, Japanese developers announced a long-awaited story add-on for Resident Evil Village, called Shadows of Rose.

In the story expansion, players will take control of Rose, the adult daughter of Ethan Winters from the game's final, who after 16 years will have to visit Dimitrescu Castle, as well as plunge into a certain area of his subconscious. At the same time, the gameplay feature of the expansion will be a change in the perspective of the camera to a view from a third person, with which, if desired, you can pass the main game.

Along with the story expansion, Resident Evil Village will receive new content for the Mercenaries mode, including additional characters such as Chris Redfield, Karl Heisenberg and Alsina Dimitrescu.

All of the content described above, including the story expansion, will come as part of a paid DLC called The Winters Expansion.

It can be purchased separately or bundled with the main game in the new Resident Evil Village Gold Edition. The premiere is scheduled for October 28.

On the same day, the multiplayer offshoot of Resident Evil Re:Verse will be launched.
