Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition, apparently, has sold more than 14 million copies, improving sales amid falling consumer interest in Grand Theft Auto V.

This conclusion can be drawn from the recently published Take-Two report.

According to the publisher's data for the second quarter from the presentation to investors, the total sales of the GTA franchise as of September 31 exceeded 385 million units, while sales of GTA V reached 170 million copies.

In the August report for the first quarter, T2 noted that GTA V sales almost approached 170 million, that is, in the subsequent quarter, the company was able to sell only less than a million copies, whereas over the past five quarters, the game has consistently sold 5 million copies.

At the same time, the total circulation of all games in the series at that time was 380 million copies.

According to rough estimates, it turns out that the franchise has made about 4 million more copies on the GTA remaster trilogy.

Take-Two did not disclose the exact sales of the collection, but by the same method it was previously possible to find out that for the starting quarter (from November 2021 to January 2022)

the collection sold about 10 million copies. After that, its sales slowed down, but now they have gone up again.

It should be borne in mind that the announced figure of +5 million copies per quarter to the GTA circulation may also include sales of old parts of the series, but their share in the total volume was probably not very large due to the age of these games.
