Square Enix hosted a live broadcast of Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, during which it demonstrated the third and last addition of a role-playing game created in collaboration with the Koei Tecmo-owned studio Team Ninja.

In Different Future, the heroes will visit a ghost town and face powerful opponents. Thanks to the addition, the characters will master the professions of Musketeer, Hunter and Player.

In addition, players will find content including new items, equipment, and so on.

During the event, creative producer and character designer Tetsuya Nomura, known to fans from the Kingdom Hearts franchise and the Final Fantasy VII remake, spoke about the sequel.

According to the author, a sequel is possible if the fan base is large enough.

"When the release of Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin took place, a lot of negative reviews appeared on the network. Nevertheless, many people really liked Jack and his friends.

So much so that we would like to see a sequel. If you really want this, then tell other people about the game.

When we note the effect of word of mouth and notice a high percentage of DLC passing, we will understand that the project has been postponed in the memory of the players and, perhaps, we will discuss the development of a sequel."

Nomura stressed that he would be happy to work with Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja again.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin was released in March 2022, and the release of the supplement Different Future took place on January 27.
