The first-person cooperative action game Warhammer: Vermintide 2 has set a new record on Steam. On November 3, Fatshark launched a free distribution of the game on Steam.
Apparently, a lot of people took advantage of the offer, since today the peak online project on the Valve platform reached 89.5 thousand people.
This is the best indicator for all time since the release.
At the launch on March 8, 2018, the game reached 73.3 thousand simultaneous players online, and the previous big surge was observed on April 15, 2021, when Warhammer: Vermintide 2 had 30 thousand players at once.
Right now, Warhammer: Vermintide 2 ranks 14th in the ranking of the most popular games on Steam by the number of players.
The free distribution of the project will last until the evening of November 7.
