Little is still known about the sequel to Alan Wake, except for a small teaser and the developers' promise to release the game in 2023.
In a recent financial report, Remedy confirmed that the development of the project has progressed very well over the past year, and the plan for this year's release is still in force.
In addition, from another part of the document it turned out that the studio is already planning to expand the game after release.
The report section, which describes the commercial mechanics used by Remedy, mentions the model of a standard premium release with paid DLC, and as an example of games with such a distribution model, the upcoming Alan Wake 2 and Control 2 are indicated.
The developers did not provide additional details, although the use of this model should not be something new for Remedy fans., since this approach was used with the original Alan Wake and Control, which were distributed at full cost and received several large additions after the release.
It is not yet known what Remedy has planned for sequels, but we can say for sure that the developers will not leave players without new content for a long time.
