The non-profit organization PETA, which opposes violence against animals, complains on social networks about God of War Ragnarök.

Throughout the game, Kratos and Atreus kill many mythical creatures resembling mammals, which PETA found unacceptable.

Employees of the organization even tweeted a moment with the destruction of one of the bosses to draw the attention of developers to the situation.

Human rights activists asked Santa Monica Studio to add a separate mode to God of War Ragnarök, allowing you to skip the fight. Sony has not yet responded to PETA.

This is not the first time the organization has spoken out against violence against animals in games. Earlier, human rights activists asked to remove cockfights from Far Cry 6.

God of War Ragnarök is available on PS4 and PS5.
