Microsoft Flight Simulator has passed the mark of 10 million players

Microsoft Flight Simulator has reached an important milestone: since its release, more than 10 million people have played the flight simulator on all platforms, Microsoft announced.

In addition to this, the company shared some statistics highlighting the achievements of virtual pilots in the more than two years since the launch of the game.

So, for example, it became known that in total, the players made more than 500 million flights and flew a total distance of over 40 billion miles, which is equivalent to 10 million trips around the Earth or 200 circular flights from Earth to the Sun.

Microsoft Flight Simulator was released in August 2020 on PC and in July 2021 on Xbox Series X|S.

The game was immediately added to the Game Pass and received 27 free content updates for the entire time.

Last month, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the series, helicopters and gliders became available in Microsoft Flight Simulator for the first time in the history of the franchise.

Team Leader Microsoft Flight Simulator Joerg Neumann also stated that the results achieved are just the beginning and that the game developers are already hatching "exciting plans" for 2023 and later.
