Striking Distance Studios has released the first patch for the PC version of the horror The Callisto Protocol.
The update fixed the problem with strong starters that arose due to the compilation of shaders right during the game.
The developers warned that after the patch, when the game is first launched, a temporary suspension may occur in the menu, however, they noted that they are already working on additional updates aimed at further improving optimization.
Against this background, the rating of the Steam game began to grow slowly and is already 44%, not 27%, as it was on the day of release.
By now, the reviews have changed from "mostly negative" to "mixed". The players note that thanks to the patch, the suspensions really became noticeably less.
The Callisto Protocol was released yesterday. Experts from Digital Foundry disassembled the game, praising the visual, but were dissatisfied with the technical problems.
