At the presentation of together we advance_gaming, AMD officially introduced a new generation of graphics accelerators based on RDNA 3.
The flagship Radeon RX 7900XTX and Radeon RX 7900XT will be the first to go on sale.
The first one has a Navi 31 chip with 6144 stream processors, and the second one has a stripped-down one with 5376 cores. Both processors are based on 5-nanometer technology.
The performance of solutions reaches 61 teraflops. The RX 7900 XTX is expected to be approximately 1.7 times higher than the Radeon RX 6950XT when playing in 4K resolution.
Graphics accelerators will be the first in the world to support the DisplayPort 2.1 interface, which allows you to output an image in 8K at 165 Hz or in 4K at 480 Hz.
The video cards will go on sale on December 13, 2022. In the US, the Radeon RX 7900 XTX will cost $999, and the RX 7900XT will cost $899.
