Velan Studios is shutting down support for the Knockout City game service.

A year ago, Electronic Arts announced the transfer of the project to a shareware distribution model in order to reach as large an audience as possible around the world, and now the developers have decided to close the servers.

This will happen in early summer. On June 6, Knockout City will cease to exist, and before that, a separate private server will be launched on the PC.

However, players will not be able to transfer items or progress to it. More about this will be told in the coming months.

The ninth season will be the last for the game. It will start on February 28 and last for 12 weeks.

At the same time, the opportunity to buy in-game items for real money will disappear, although users will continue to receive rewards.

On May 23, the developers will hold a two-week farewell event with gifts and tripled experience.

Knockout City was released in May 2021 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

The game is a competitive bouncer simulator, where two teams of several people need to throw balls at each other and score points.
