Electronic Arts has closed the DiRT series Codemasters is engaged in a new GRID

Yesterday it became known that Electronic Arts abandoned the Project CARS franchise and stopped further development and investment in the series.

Journalist Tom Henderson, citing his own sources, claims that the company also closed DiRT.

The insider writes that Codemasters is currently engaged in the next F1, the new GRID and WRC 23, and the creators of Project CARS will be transferred to other projects.

Slightly Mad Studios was responsible for the development of Project CARS. The studio was bought by an American publishing house together with Codemasters.

In 2019, Slightly Mad Studios employed 150 people.
