Square Enix has officially announced the release, timed to coincide with the 35th anniversary of the franchise.

On December 18, 1987, the first part of Final Fantasy was released for the Famicom in Japan, and three years later adapted for US consumers.

Subsequently, the project was transferred to MSX 2, WonderSwan Color, PlayStation, PSP, GameBoy Advance and mobile phones.

The story told about the adventures of four warriors of light and their struggle with the guardians of Chaos. The first three parts of the pixel remasters of Final Fantasy were released in July 2021.

These were followed by the reissues of Final Fantasy IV, V and VI. Currently, all six parts of Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster are available on PC and mobile platforms.

They are positioned as the best 2D versions of classic games. On PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, the remasters will be available separately and as a digital compilation.

A limited physical edition with a soundtrack on vinyl, action figures and an artbook will also be released in the spring.

It will be distributed in a gift box exclusively through the American Square Enix store at a price of $259, 99.

The usual physical version of the collection will also be released on consoles, but in a very limited edition at a price of $74, 99. This is also an exclusive of the Square Enix store.

At the time of writing this note, the first batch was completely sold out.
