In the latest issue of the XboxEra podcast, insider Nick Baker said that the company's gaming division is developing and testing a new gamepad with a touchpad like DualSence and DualShock 4.

According to Baker, the fresh rumor has nothing to do with the patent of the Xbox controller with an LCD screen, which became known earlier.

The source of the informant also added that the prototype supports a certain function, which he called "HD Rumble".

Apparently, we are talking about a tactile feedback system in the manner of DualSense.

"Xbox is developing and even testing a prototype of a new controller with a touch panel like DualSense and DualShock 4."

Nick stressed that although the prototype of the gamepad most likely does exist, it is far from the product that Xbox owners will be able to get their hands on if Microsoft decides to release it.

Earlier, Xbox CEO Phil Spencer praised DualSense and said that the team would consider some Sony ideas that could find a place in the updated Xbox controller.
