This week, Microsoft held a Developer_Direct presentation, in which the company talked about its plans for 2023.

The main star of the broadcast was the HI-FI RUSH project from the Tango Gameworks studio, but a large demonstration of the gameplay of the Redfall cooperative shooter from Arkane studio caused much less enthusiasm.

The weak visual range, gameplay problems and unstable performance caught the eye. At the same time, the game is scheduled to be released on May 2.

The situation was commented on by an insider under the nickname Horns, who was the first to leak information about the announcement and release of HI-FI RUSH to the network.

According to him, Microsoft is experiencing serious financial problems that shareholders may not appreciate. Azure cloud servers have remained the company's main source of revenue in recent years.

However, in the current fiscal year, revenues in this area have significantly decreased.

As a result, Microsoft management initiated massive staff cuts, and is also looking for opportunities to cut costs. This also applies to the video game wing.

According to Horns, the company requires controlled studios to cut corners to save money.

Therefore, the release of the Redfall shooter may be problematic, but things are much worse with the flagship Starfield game from Todd Howard's team.

Microsoft allegedly requires Bethesda to release Starfield before the end of the current fiscal year, which ends in June 2023.

Such a maneuver will improve the financial performance of the company in the report to shareholders.

However, representatives of the publishing house actively resist this, since Howard's game is in an even more "raw" state than Redfall.

Representatives of Bethesda insist on a release in the fall of 2023. And it is not yet clear which side will win the dispute.

The insider also touched on the situation at Activision Blizzard. He noted that the technical condition of Diablo IV leaves much to be desired, so the release on June 6 is questionable.
