The Chinese studio Papergames has announced an open-world Infinity Nikki game for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC, iOS and Android.
It was produced by Nintendo veteran Kentaro Tominaga, who joined the ranks of developers, who had a hand in creating The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Infinity Nikki is based on the popular Nikki mobile series dedicated to dressing up.
Infinity Nikki will be an entry to a new level for developers, as the action will be transferred to the open world and the series will debut on consoles.
In Infinity Nikki, players will travel as Nikki's girlfriend through a huge fantasy world in the company of a magical creature Momo.
The task is to find and craft outfits that reward the owners with unique supernatural powers.
The open world is fraught with many activities — the heroine will be able to unravel detective cases, get acquainted with numerous characters, engage in hunting and fishing.
Analysts believe that this game can become another Chinese hit. There is a high level of graphics and an attractive theme for a certain part of the audience.
The release date has not yet been announced.
