Howard's transition to Naughty Dog became known from his Twitter post, where he posted a photo of himself in the studio office in Santa Monica and signed the picture with the words: "Yes, damn it! ".

According to information from his LinkedIn profile, the developer joined Naughty Dog as the chief designer for monetization in November of this year.

Prior to that, Howard was a member of the Ubisoft Stockholm team, but his most notable achievements are associated with seven years of work at Epic Games on Fortnite, where he "helped form the core of the battle pass progression strategy" and participated in the creation of twelve seasons of content using this system.

He also helped implement the Battle Pass in Rocket League and Fall Guys.

There is no official confirmation that Howard was taken for the multiplayer The Last of Us yet, but given the online orientation of the game, the chief monetization designer could probably be needed for it.

Naughty Dog has not yet specified what kind of monetization the upcoming game will have, although vacancies previously hinted that the project could receive an F2P distribution model.
