NieR: Automata for Nintendo Switch gets very high marks in the press — the port is praised with one voice

The role-playing action game NieR: Automata Game of the Youth Edition for the Nintendo Switch family consoles received the first ratings from the profile press, and they turned out to be very high.

At the time of writing this note, the average score of the game in the hybrid console version was fixed at 90 points out of 100 on OpenCritic.

Reviewers praise both the game itself, which has not lost its relevance over the years since its release, and the quality of the port itself.

It is noted that when adapting NieR: Automata for Switch hardware, the developers did not have to make any serious compromises in terms of the picture - the game has lost a few textures and effects, but it looks very decent and does not lose face against the background of the PlayStation 4 version.

The new release includes all previously released content and offers a set of new cosmetic items.

Judging by the publications, the most significant difference between the PS4 and Switch versions is the frame rate — the original version worked at 60 FPS, periodically falling to ~50 FPS, while the new one goes at 30 FPS most of the time, occasionally sagging by a couple of points.

The worldwide premiere of NieR: Automate The End of Youth Edition for Nintendo Switch will take place on October 6 this year. The game will be available in Russian on the hybrid console.
