CD Projekt RED's investor relations manager Marek Bugdol said that the Phantom Liberty expansion for Cyberpunk 2077 will be the largest DLC in the studio's history in terms of budget.
Work on it is proceeding according to the schedule.
"We hope that the new adventures and characters will attract those who are already familiar with Cyberpunk 2077, and will encourage many new players to go to Night City."
According to the developers, Phantom Liberty will become a real "spy thriller", the events of which will unfold in a new area of the city of Night City.
The stars of the expansion will be new characters, but the narrative will also involve some actors from the original storyline, including Johnny Silverhand played by Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves.
Phantom Liberty is scheduled for release in 2023 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. After the release of the DLC, the game will receive a GOTY edition.
