Sony Interactive Entertainment has released a new firmware update for the PlayStation 5, adding support for 1440p, new social features, and several other exciting features. Upgrade 22.

In addition to supporting 1440p* resolution for HDMI video output, the new PS5 system update brought with it the sorting of games in the library by folders (game lists) and new social features, such as the ability to request a "Shared Screen" from a member of "Hangouts".

With the release of the new firmware, Sony also introduced voice-activated search for content on YouTube into PS5.

You just say "Hey, PlayStation, find [keyword] on YouTube" on any console screen, including during the game, and the video service app will open and the corresponding search results will be shown.

Currently, the Voice Command (Preview) feature is only available in English for players whose accounts are registered in the United States and the United Kingdom.

Another useful innovation of the update is the ability to listen and compare the difference between 3D and stereo sound on one screen. *No VRR.
