The remake of Yakuza: Ishin! will go on sale around the world in February next year, and now fans are again interested in the fate of another historical project in the Yakuza line, namely Ryū ga Gotoku Kenzan! , which debuted on PlayStaion 3 in 2008.
Many believe that the developers should have started with the modern adaptation of "Kenzana", because this game was released much earlier "Ishina".
As producer Masayoshi Yokoyama explained, the version with the reprint of Kenzan! sEGA was also considered, however, messages with requests for a reissue of Ishin!
was much more, which eventually gave preference to the latter project. Yokoyama also noted
that Kenzan update process!
would require substantial investments of forces and resources from the developers, including adjustments to the overall storyline — there are a number of certain "controversial" episodes and historical contexts that require new adaptation.
SEGA does not exclude that one day they will take on the reissue of Kenzan! , but this requires a successful combination of circumstances and a large amount of free resources.
