Publisher Sega is interested in the development of Atlus studio brands outside the game forms. In particular, the company allows the creation of films or television series on such franchises as Shin Megami Tensei, Persona and Catherine.
Various options and offers are currently under consideration. Producer Toru Nakahara told about the plans for potential screening of the Atlus game catalogue in an interview with journalists.
"Atlus' universes offer drama celebration, vibrant style and memorable heroes. Persona series plots resonate strongly with fans, and we would like to develop their worlds in completely new and previously unknown directions.
By joining forces, SEGA and Atlus work together to tell and bring to life original stories through new media formats and for a new audience, ”explained Toru Nakahara. Nintendo Switch, PC and PlayStation 5.
Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 Portable ports are planned for 2023.
