Shooter High On Life showed the largest launch in the history of Xbox Game Pass

Comedy-adventure shooter High On Life from the studio Squanch Games broke several Xbox Game Pass records at once.

According to Microsoft, the project became the largest Game Pass release in 2022, and also demonstrated the most successful launch in the history of subscription among single-player games and titles from third-party developers.

Statistics are based on the number of hours spent in the game in the first five days after being added to the service.

The developers noted that it was the first time they released the game in this way and were shocked by the response of the players who helped make their project the most popular in the Xbox Game Pass.

"When Squanch Games was just emerging, we set a goal to create games that we would like to play ourselves. Game Pass helps in this and attracts players who are also not averse to playing them

High On Life was created with the participation of the co-creator of the animated series "Rick and Morty" Justin Royland and tells about the attack on Earth by an alien cartel that wants to use people as drugs.

Players must take on the role of the savior of the world and fight a nefarious gang in the company of charismatic talking weapons.

The project was released on December 13 only on Xbox and PCs.
