According to a report that was provided to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, in 2022 AMD sold Sony chips for the PlayStation 5 worth about $3,776 billion, which accounted for 16% of the company's total annual revenue.

Such results were achieved thanks to the rapid growth in sales of PS5, the problem with the supply of which was adjusted.

AMD's gaming division, responsible for graphics processors for desktop graphics cards and laptops, as well as SoC (systems-on-chips) for gaming consoles, including the Xbox Series X|S, became the company's largest revenue generator in 2022 and earned a total of $6,805 billion, of which net profit it reached $953 million.

Considering that sales of individual AMD graphics accelerators have declined in recent quarters, console SoCs account for the lion's share of AMD gaming business revenue.

As of December 31, 2022, 32.1 million PlayStation 5 consoles were sold worldwide.

As for the Xbox Series X|S, according to the analytical company Ampere Analysis, their circulation at the end of last year reached 18.5 million units.
