Sony has released a beta update of the P5 with support for Discord voice chat and VRR for 1440p

Sony announced in the official PlayStation blog about the start of testing the next major update for the PS5, which will feature Discord voice chat, support for Variable Refresh Rate for monitors with a resolution of 1440p, as well as the ability to manually upload screenshots and videos to a proprietary mobile application.

In addition to the listed functions, Sony will add the ability to update DualSense over the air and sort games in folders. The full list of changes is available on the website.

Invited residents of the USA, Canada, Japan, Great Britain, Germany and France can install beta updates.
