Earlier today, Sony unveiled a new PlayStation commercial with live actors, made in the style of a television news release.
The video contains fragments referring to various PlayStation 5 exclusives, and the official PlayStation blog urged users to try to identify all the "hidden" games.
One of them has obviously not been released yet and has not even been announced yet. The short episode shows how a young girl with a torch explores a cave and finds an ancient artifact at the end.
Players and journalists believe that this is how Sony can tease Uncharted 5 with a new female heroine — Drake's daughter. The aesthetics of the series can be traced here quite clearly.
The players were introduced to young Cassie in Uncharted 4. She finds artifacts obtained by Drake and Elena, and her father decides to tell her about his adventures.
Fans have been suggesting for several years that Cassie was shown to us for a reason, and she will follow in her parents' footsteps.
According to recent publications, Sony is interested in expanding the Uncharted gaming universe, but other studios will create new games — not Naughty Dog.
As for Drake, Neil Drakmann explicitly stated that he had retired.
