Annapurna Interactive and Mobius Games released an improved version of the adventure game Outer Wilds on the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
According to the developers, the project port for the next generation consoles was created and optimized specifically for the possibilities of their iron, the capacity of which was sufficient to provide native 4K resolution at 60 frames per second.
Another innovation compared to the backward compatibility version is the reduced delay in the input of controllers.
Nextgen Patch is available for free to all owners of the original game for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, including subscribers to the Xbox Game Pass, PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Plus Extra / Premium services.
On the Xbox Series X|S, the upgrade is implemented through the Smart Delivery program, which requires a simple update of the game, while on the PS5, the native port must be downloaded separately (instructions are available here).
One-time transfer of saves is supported, but trophies will have to be reopened.
