As part of the financial report, Starbreeze Studio announced a collaboration with a production company Stockholm Syndrome. The goal is to create a film adaptation of PayDay.
The authors plan to release either a full-length film or a TV series. Stockholm Syndrome can act as an official representative of the PayDay franchise.
There are plans to search for potential screenwriters and directors. CEO of Starbreeze Tobias Sjogren said that the studio plans to take the franchise beyond video games, making it more global.
However, the plans also include work on other IP.
The development of PayDay 3 was announced back in 2017, but Starbreeze experienced many problems with the organization of production in subsequent years.
Only in 2021, the studio managed to find a publisher in the person of Koch Media, which allowed for the development of a triquel. The shooter will be released in 2023 on PC and consoles.
Earlier, the authors said that the console and computer versions will not differ in terms of content.
