Tekken 8 probably won't be released until 2024 at the earliest

The release of Tekken 8 is tentatively scheduled for early 2024. Producer and game director Katsuhiro Harada hinted at this during a recent performance.

In a conversation about the future of the Tekken series in esports, Harada mentioned that Tekken 7 has already been announced as a participant in the EVO Japan 2023 fighting tournament, which is scheduled for late March or early April, but added that it would be “cool” if the next tournament led to the release of Tekken 8.

In other words, the release of Tekken 8 follows wait no earlier than the beginning of 2024.

At the same time, Harada's statement implies that such an option will be possible with the best outcome of events, so in case of problems with development, it is possible that the game will have to wait longer.

Tekken 8 is being created for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
