Gruby Entertainment has announced that the Chinese conglomerate Tencent has become a minority shareholder of the studio.
The exact amount of investment is not disclosed, but Tencent will provide Poles with new opportunities for development and expansion.
Grubby Entertainment was founded in 2020 by former People Can Fly developers Grzegorz Michalak, Karol Shishka, Pavel Sekh and Kamil Misevec.
This month, the team celebrates its second anniversary and is preparing to release a debut game called Deadlink. It will be cyberpunk
- a first-person shooter with elements of rogue lite, in which players will become the brain of a combat humanoid shell created to conduct secret military operations.
The release of Deadlink is scheduled for the 18th.
