The waves of carryovers have caught up with another game release expected for release this year.

This time, the mystical adventure OXENFREE II: Lost Signals from the Night School studio moved to 2023, but no specific date is yet specified.

As a reason for the delay, the developers cite the desire to provide fans with their "best" and "truly special" game, as well as expand the list of localizations with a large number of languages.

“We owe it to our amazing community to make OXENFREE II: Lost Signals the best game imaginable.

Seeing your fan art, reading your enthusiastic comments and communicating with you, we feed on the ambition to create our best game to date.

To turn OXENFREE II into a truly special [project] and add more localizations, we are moving the release date to 2023. Thank you for your patience, support and understanding.

We are looking forward to providing you with the game. Check for updates!

"OXENFREE II: Lost Signals is a sequel to a mystical thriller about a group of friends who accidentally discovered a rift into a ghostly world.

Events will develop five years after the original game and will tell about Riley Verley, who reluctantly returns to her hometown of Kamena to study mysterious radio signals, but finds much more than she expected.

The OXENFREE sequel is created for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Netflix, which has owned Night School Studio since September 2021, is responsible for the release of the project.
