Konami has unveiled a cinematic story trailer for Silent Hill: Ascension. This project is an "interactive game series" consisting of four episodes.
Genvid Technologies, Bad Robot Games, Behavior Interactive and DJ2 Entertainment were responsible for their creation.
According to the description, In Silent Hill: Ascension, the actions of millions of players will determine the outcome of events.
Each player, as episodes are released, will be able to take part in certain plot events, puzzles and solutions available for a limited time.
It is possible to become a participant in interactive episodes even after their completion, but in this case it will be impossible to influence the global results, since they will become canonical.
Players who do not want to become participants of Silent Hill: Ascension will be able to simply watch the course of history and communicate with the community, as well as watch the finished episodes in the recording.
Judging by the description, Silent Hill: Ascension is not a video game in the traditional sense. Episodes will be streamed online, and players will be able to vote for the actions of the characters.
The developers say they don't know what the course of history might turn out to be — this is a big experiment. The launch of Silent Hill: Ascension is expected this year.
