At the end of June, Liithos, formed by veteran developers who left Bend Studio, announced a post-apocalyptic multiplayer online action game with role-playing elements called Ashfall.
The game was previously held under the working name Project: 56 and is scheduled to be released in 2023 on PC and mobile devices.
At the Tokyo Game Show 2022, the team brought a full-fledged gameplay, showing what an adventurous third-person shooter looks like in a world scorched by nuclear war, which was started by artificial intelligence.
The barren deserts, the abandoned cities, the battlefields of the old world, the noisy settlements of the survivors — this is what the players will see — a vast and diverse world of wasteland.
Ashfall combines unique oriental culture and post-apocalyptic elements. Each area of the game demonstrates its own theme and offers a special cultural atmosphere for study.
Remnants of mankind fight each other for supplies until rumors suddenly emerge of a certain “Core of the universe” that can heal the destroyed earth.
Players will have to leave the shelter and go in search for the sake of saving humanity. Ashfall offers many options, including customizing the character.
Combat system combines classical firing from shelters and teamwork. The game supports single and multiplayer modes, increasing the convenience of picky users.
Music for Ashfall is written by Inon Tsur (Fallout 3, Dragon Age: Origins, Syberia II) and Hans Zimmer (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Crysis 2).
