The Polish studio Bloober Team announced that the horror Layers of Fear, previously called Layers of Fears, will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam) this summer, namely in June 2023.
The exact release date has not yet been disclosed. Along with the announcement of the release window, the developers presented a corresponding trailer showing creepy rooms.
Earlier, the Bloober Team said that when they started developing Layers of Fears, they wanted to implement a lot of bright ideas and concepts in the project, simultaneously presenting a completely new and ambitious storyline.
"No, it's not Layers of Fear 3. We have created a completely new game.
A slight but noticeable change in the name should hint to the players that something fresh has been prepared for them. Layers of Fears is a completely original concept.
The project combines elements of the first two parts of Layers of Fear, ennobling them with new gameplay mechanics, as well as a vivid storyline.
We tried to tie together all the strengths of the franchise and bring to life a new chapter of this line of games.
No one in the industry has done anything like this before, "rethinking" is the best description of our game."
